6. Ivory Coast
With a population of 22.701.600, Ivory Coast is one of the largest French-speaking countries in Africa. French is one of the official languages of the country, alongside Dioula and Baoulé. However, French is mainly used in education, administration, and media.
7. Gabon
French is the official language of the country with a population of 1.725.300. Gabon is one of the smaller French-speaking countries in Africa, but it is spoken by a minority of the population. Other languages spoken in Gabon include Fang, Myene, and Nzebi.
