A Wise Dare
The paper plane that he made was far exciting than the studies. He yearned to be young once again. So he launched his paper plane off of his hand and it bravely flight. It flew into the sun where his eyes couldn't see anymore. He was just about to make another paper plane but he saw something under his books.
A letter from an unknown language.
He thought that must be a joke of his grandparents, a mockery to his ignorance.
A mockery by someone who has never been to an university?
He smirked and clasped the letter. It was rougher than paper and it smelt like ashes in first. He cared not for long and rushed to open it away. There was a wooden stick empty inside with a weird tip and a paper with few words in it.
"Dare me to bless."
Under this there were only a quotation marks empty inside. He looked back at the letter, where the paper once was a text took his attention. It had a text inside.
"Dare to scorch me."
He was excited more than ever because it was not a mockery, finally he saw that someone could give it a challenge prove himself. He realised there must be something else, he checked the pen and it was saying,
"Ashes to marks, eyes to illusions."
He pulled out the lighter he stole and immediately burned the letter, put the ashes into a cone and then poured it to the pen with the tip of the cone. The tip had some sort of a crunch sound and ashes were in the outer tip. His excitement was almost fainting, he felt nauseous. Then dared to the paper,
"I want to be wise."
Just when he put the dot. Paper started to ablaze and turned to ashes. Ashes drained the smoke coming from the fire he started once. His vision enrichened. It became an eye that perceives which cannot be seen.
A spiritual existent infront of him, came to tongue,
"I see that someone dared enough to be wise, so wise that they found to me. Yet, are you wise enough to know what am I? Maybe a wish granter or a curse binder. Whom could know? Except him, may he forgive you for your attempt."
"Did I do something wrong?"
"Indeed very wrong, why would you burn a piece of paper which can be used in many things and why would you steal and use something you don't owe? For the sake of knowing? For the sake of being not one of them?"
"One of whom?"
"The ones, whom doesn't know. Is this risk worth for you? For your pride, are you willingly risk your soul, even your will?"
"I am, whatever you are, I am willingly to sacrifice everything to be better. I don't care what happens."
"So you would even go against things you are beloved and even if you not only believe to them but know the truth, are you willing to be someone who touches evil?"
"I told you, I am willing to do anything."
"This is what I was expecting, great for you to be honest. Now it's your turn to be saved."
Right after he hears this, with his next blink his history of what happened right now is completely wiped. He made another paper plane, right before he sent; a urge came, a fear. He kept the paper plane on the table and went back to his paperwork studies.
